I meant to say in the video that I find you can get a much ‘bigger’ sound out of a guitar amp than a similar priced domestic CD player.

If you are not too bothered about portability, then this Citronic CDs2 might be an alternative, vari speed player worth considering. My friend teaches with this playing it through her guitar amp.
The Mic I use is a Gemini 1264 a cheaper alternative is the Gemini UX16. I’ve used them both, the 1264 has the same 64 channels as the system in one the clubs I teach in. If I didn’t want to use my own mic headset in the club studio I would be happy enough with the cheaper 16 channel mic.
